The Code
I’ve created a few odds and ends that seem like they should have a place to live (out here rather than on my RAID array). Most of what I’ve built is based off original though or is extended from GPL or similarly licensed code. If you find anything in this section that shouldn’t be here, please let me know as soon as possible.
Wordpress Plugins
DiggIT (modifications)
These modifications were made because I liked the DiggIT plugin but it didn’t work as delivered when combined with the Syntax Highlighter I was using. Upon examination it was echo’ing results rather than returning them more neatly. I’m not entirely sure I understand how “the loop” works in Wordpress but this change resulted in a functioning DiggIT plugin for me.
WP-Twitter (modifications)
This was frustrating … WP-Twitter is nice and all but it uses a huge gob of client-side javascript instead of processing with PHP on the backend. I threw away a bunch of extraneous junk and made it (in my opinion) neater. The primary reason I started doing this was because the current plugin couldn’t handle quotes (it returned the wonderful “”"). While I was trying to wrestle through it I decided I would rather wrestle with PHP than Javascript.
Okay — fine, I haven’t had time to add much to this yet!!! I’ll be posting some real stuff soon…
Update: Hmm… I said “soon” a long time ago. Maybe at some point in the not too distant future I’ll get to this.
